Well, forget the ratchetness and let’s crack the figures. The real winner obviously most definately Machakos County and the event organizers.
According to People Daily, Machakos County raked in more than Sh50 million in earnings during the Masaku 7s Rugby tournament.
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua said the popularity of the annual rugby event is a boom for local businesses and investors.
“The county, in conservative estimates, accrued over Sh50 million in earnings from the throngs of fans who attended, both to small and large businesses,” Mutua told People Daily yesterday.
