Paul Walker’s Surprising Replacement for Fast & Furious 7

Though there was a temporary halt in the
production of "Fast and Furious 7," the actors
and crew are resuming the filming with a
surprising replacement for Paul Walker, his
brothers, TIME reports.

Because of Walker's death on November last year,
the whole cast and crew of the production was
devastated and had put a pause on filming the
successful franchise.
However, a surprising announcement
on Facebook claims that producers are going to
finish the film with a new "family" addition.
"The FAST & FURIOUS saga is about family. The
characters are connected by the bond of family,
and it is how all of us who have worked together
for more than thirteen years feel about each
other. It certainly defines how we feel about our
fans."
The post indicated that they would want to
finish the film for Paul and the fans. They also
commended his work for the dramatic scenes he
was able to shoot before the accident stating
that "it's among the strongest work of his
career."
"We have resumed shooting and now welcome
Paul's brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST
family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete
some remaining action for their brother and fill
in small gaps left in production. Having them on
set has made us all feel that Paul is with us
too."
Universal Pictures is supporting the continuation
of the film. The company told THR that Walker's
character, Brian O'Conner, might be retired in
the film rather than killed off.
Weeks after the tragedy, James Wan, film's
director, together with Chris Morgan and Jeffrey
Kirschenbaum, writers, went over the shots
covered by Walker and devised a plan to reinvent
the story. The script was tweaked so that his
character could still remain in the film without
changing too much of the original plotline.
The changes would result to an eight-month
delay to cover additional scenes to be written
and shot.
